The Badminton Competition At Elton Academy
What’s more exciting and stress-relieving than a Badminton Competition that engages all students, teachers, and the principal after school?
On November 8, 2019, the competition was held as 16 participants, divided into 8 teams, got ready to give their best in the gym.
Best Moments
Before the competition, students did some warm-up exercises with our teacher.
Then as it all began, cheers and chants rang across the gym. A serve is smashed back across the net.
A key moment arrived after 3 knockout rounds as two of our best athletes wrestled the final match.
On one side we had Colin, a former champion of badminton in the province of Sichuan. He also had admirable grades and was working at a badminton gym part-time.
On the other side was Maysum, the beloved English teacher at Elton who had been playing badminton since the age of 4. He was also Colin’s teacher.
Who will be the Champion of 2019?
It turned out that Colin had the upper hand and won the Elton championship of 2019, with Maysum being the second winner.
